Hello,
a bit about me:
Dr. Haas joined the Infections and Immunoepidemiology Branch (IIB) as a postdoctoral fellow in 2021. He earned his Ph.D. and M.P.H. in epidemiology from the University of Washington, Seattle. As a cancer prevention predoctoral trainee, he conducted research in disparities of colorectal cancer screening in a large integrated health care system, meta-analyses of surveillance modalities for second breast cancers, and qualitative work on cascade genetic testing. His dissertation work leveraged population-based samples with genetic data to understand predisposing factors related to breast cancer.
Under the mentorship of Meredith Shiels, Ph.D., M.H.S., investigator, IIB, Dr. Haas is working to describe the burden of cancer among people living with HIV.
